Ghee / Coconut Oil - For frying. Wash the wheat well and soak it in water for two hours. Add half a cup of jaggery water, boil and strain it. Roast sliced coconut in a tablespoon of ghee.

Steps to make Broken Wheat Appam/Paniyaram:
  1. Soak the broken wheat for 2 hours in water.Strain the water and blend the mix with 1/4 th -1/2 cup of water.
  2. Melt the jaggery with enough water, strain and add it to the broken wheat mix.
  3. Add crushed cardamoms, 2 tablespoons of rice powder and grated coconut to the mix.
  4. Grease the cast iron Appam pan/ Non-stick pan with enough ghee - Take spoonfuls of the mix and add it to the appam wells.Flip it on both the sides till well done and serve hot with lots of love

These foods can help you feel full for longer also, which is a mood improver. It’s not hard to feel low when you feel famished! These grains can improve your mood because it’s not at all difficult for your body to digest them. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps kick start a rise in your sugar levels which in turn takes your mood to a happier place.

Research has proved that this amino acid induces the production of brain waves. This helps sharpen your mental energy while at the same time making the rest of your body more relaxed.
